Woman dead after car crashes into wall, rolls down embankment on Hwy 288

HOUSTON, TX – A woman is dead after she crashed into a wall on Highway 288 early this morning, according to KTRK.
The accident happened on Hwy 288, near Old Spanish Trail, at about 3 a.m., as a female driver was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.
Her vehicle crashed into a wall, then rolled down an embankment.
The victim, identified only as a woman between 20 and 30 years old, was killed in the crash.
Authorities closed the northbound lanes of the highway for about four hours as they worked the crash.
