Woman and child drown in Houston swimming pool accident

HOUSTON, TX – Two people, including a five-year-old child, are dead after being pulled from a swimming pool on Saturday, according to a report by KPRC2.
The accident occurred in the afternoon, on the 1400 block of Mansfield Street in northwestern Houston. According to police, one of the victims, a 25-year-old woman, jumped in the pool to save the five-year-old child, who seemed to be struggling to swim.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead there.
The home is said to be owned by former MLB player Carl Crawford, who is also an owner of the Houston record label 1501 Certified Entertainment.
There is no further information at this time regarding the identity of the victims.
