Update: Vigil planned for R&B singer killed by drunk driver

HOUSTON, TX – A candlelit vigil has been planned for tonight to honor late Houston-based R&B singer JaeRene, who died in an accident caused by a drunk driver last Wednesday.
KTRK reports that the vigil will be take place at The Raven Tower on North Street and will begin at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Sagemont Church tomorrow morning.
The 19-year-old singer—whose full name is Jaelyn Chapman—was killed by a wrong-way driver in the eastbound lanes of the Westpark Tollway near Dunvale Road on April 7.
