Houston R&B singer killed in crash with “highly intoxicated driver”

HOUSTON, TX – Houston-bred R&B singer JaeRene was killed in a collision with a “highly intoxicated driver” last Wednesday, the Houston Chronicle reports.
While the exact location of the crash is not publicly available, a GoFundMe page for the late singer says that it happened in Houston.
The late artist released her self-titled debut in 2019, and scored a hit with the single “Fallback” the following year. She had turned 19 in February, and was remembered as a promising young talent by a number of the city’s premier musicians, including Z-Ro and Slim Thug.
