UPDATE: Suspect arrested in connection to fatal North Sam Houston Parkway W collision

HOUSTON, TX – A suspect has been arrested in connection to the fatal North Sam Houston Parkway West collision that took place on Saturday, September 5, the Houston Police Department reports.
A press release from HPD reports that Adrian Uriel Tapia was driving a white Jeep Cherokee when he struck a motorcyclist at the parkway’s intersection with Ella Boulevard. While he and a passenger initially exited their vehicle, Tapia then got back into his car and fled the scene. He drove to a nearby gas station where his car burst into flames.
He fled on foot to his home in Conroe but was eventually arrested by authorities. He has been charged with failing to stop and render aid.
