UPDATE: HPD issues press release on fatal wreck on Westheimer

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department has issued a press release on the fatal wreck on Westheimer Road that took place on Thursday, July 2.

According to the press release, a white Lexus IS 250 was approaching Westheimer from Synott to make a left turn. At the same time, a black Porsche ran a red light and slammed into the Lexus.

The driver of the Lexus, a 55-year-old woman, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Porsche, a 55-year-old male, sustained minor injuries. No charges have been filed at this time.
