UPDATE: Child run over in parking lot identified

HOUSTON, TX – The child killed by an inexperienced teen driver in a gas station parking lot has been identified, ABC 13 reports.
2-year-old Jhalyen Zaire Garbutt-Gibbs was hit while walking in the parking lot with a relative. The driver, an inexperienced teenage girl, said she accidentally hit the gas pedal when she meant to hit the brake while pulling into a parking spot. The child became trapped underneath her vehicle.
It is unclear if she will face any charges, but the incident remains under investigation.
