HOUSTON, TX – The child hit by a car on Kuykendahl Road has died of their injuries, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Authorities say that the child was walking with another toddler and a grandparent in the parking lot of a Valero when an inexperienced teen driver began to turn into a parking space. The driver hit the child, who was later rushed to the hospital via LifeFlight. The toddler sadly succumbed to their injuries.
The driver told police she accidentally pressed the gas pedal when she meant to hit the brake. She was found to not have a driver’s license and was arrested.
