One dead after taxi and 4 motorcycles collide on Westheimer Rd

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed and another three were hospitalized following an accident involving multiple motorcycles and a taxicab on Westheimer Road last night.
According to KHOU, the accident happened in the 5200 block of Westheimer Rd at about 8:30 p.m., when the driver of a taxicab was reportedly attempting to make a U-turn.
Four motorcyclists, who may have been speeding at the time, collided with the cab.
One of the motorcyclists, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
The other three were taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed wounds.
The cab driver was not reported as injured.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
