Motorcyclist dead after hit-and-run collision on Sam Houston Pkwy

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist is dead following a hit-and-run collision with an SUV on Sam Houston Parkway early this morning, according to KPRC2.
The accident happened at the 1110 block of N Sam Houston Pkwy W at about 2:30 a.m. when a motorcycle and an SUV had collided, with the motorcycle becoming trapped beneath the other vehicle and bursting into flames.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was thrown from the bike and into the street. The driver of the SUV fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is thought to have left a bar just prior to the collision.
Authorities continue to search for the driver and to investigate the collision at this time.
