Motorcycle accident on Gulf Fwy causes multiple lane closures and delays

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcycle accident on the Gulf Freeway led to traffic delays and closures in northern Houston this afternoon, according to a report from the Houston Police Department.


The accident occurred on the southbound Gulf Freeway (I-45), near Beltway 8, at about 12:40 p.m., and involved a motorcycle.

Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked the accident. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and to expect traffic delays.

It is unclear at this point what led to the crash or if anyone was hurt as a result.
