Man injured after being rear-ended by speeding driver on SH 249

HOUSTON, TX – A man was injured in a speed-related car crash on State Highway 249 in northwest Houston on Tuesday evening, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred on State Highway 249, north of the Sam Houston Tollway, at 7:40 p.m., when the 24-year-old driver of a blue 2006 Honda failed to control the speed of her vehicle.
She then rear-ended a silver 2019 Ford being driven by a 46-year-old man.
The driver of the Ford sustained possible injuries in the crash.
The at-fault driver and her 2-year-old passenger were not hurt in the accident.
