Man dies from injuries sustained from crash on Sjolander Road

HOUSTON, TX – A man died of injuries sustained from a major crash on Sjolander Road that took place on Sunday, June 14, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Darryl Jones was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe near the 6200 block of Sjolander Road when he hit a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Roque Arguello. Jones did not stop at the scene and instead kept traveling down the road, eventually crashing into two mailboxes and a culvert located at 6300 Sjolander Road.
Jones was transported to the hospital via LifeFlight and was released to his home on July 7 with a traumatic brain injury. He passed away on July 16.
