Driver hits and kills man whose vehicle stalled on North Fwy early Sunday

HOUSTON, TX – A driver struck and killed a man who had gotten out of his vehicle after it stalled on the North Freeway early this morning, according to KHOU.
The crash happened near Crosstimbers Street just after 12 a.m. A pickup truck traveling in one of the middle lanes stalled, and the driver got out of his vehicle to inspect it. A second driver, operating a pickup truck, then crashed into the man.
The victim died at the scene.
A woman was inside the stalled truck when the crash happened, but she and the other driver were not reported as injured.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
