Two cars crashed near 1800 Pierce Street around 4:23 a.m. One of the cars left the roadway in the course of the crash. Officers have not released additional information about the incident.

HOUSTON, TX – A two-vehicle crash closed lanes on the South Loop tonight, Houston TranStar reports. The cars crashed at the South Loop’s intersection with State Highway 225. The resulting crash shut down the nearby left lane and left shoulder. The area was cleared by 9:12 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was killed in a wreck on the Gulf Freeway this afternoon, the Houston Police Department reports. The accident took place at 13800 Gulf Freeway at the Scarsdale exit around 4:08 p.m. The identity of the victim is not known at this time.
