HOUSTON, TX – A heavy truck fire shut down lanes on Beltway 8 North this evening, Houston TranStar reports. The fire was reported at the Beltway’s intersection with the North Freeway, shutting down one nearby frontage lanes. It is not known what led to the fire. The scene was cleared by 7:32 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX – A two-vehicle wreck blocked traffic on the Northwest Freeway this evening, according to the team at Houston TranStar. The vehicles crashed just before the Jones Road intersection, shutting down the nearby left shoulder. The area was cleared by emergency responders around 7:25 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX – Three lanes were closed after a two-vehicle crash on the Southwest Freeway this evening, per Houston TranStar. The pair of vehicles collided at the Gessner Road intersection, closing down the left shoulder, center lane, and left lane. Emergency responders cleared the scene by 7:13 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police Department officers responded to a major collision on Almeda Genoa Road this evening. The accident was reported at 8101 Almeda Genoa Road around 5:15 p.m. Thankfully, no deaths were reported.

HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle fled the scene of a wreck on the Southwest Freeway this afternoon, according to the Houston Police Department. The hit-and-run was reported near the 8602 block of the Southwest Freeway around 3:05 p.m. Information about the fleeing vehicle has not been reported.
