At least one person killed in Christmas-Day accident on Hwy 90

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was killed on Christmas Day in an accident on US-90 that caused traffic delays for multiple hours, according to the Houston Police Department.

The collision occurred around 3:55 p.m. in the South Main area, in the 11500 block of Highway 90, near Stella Link Boulevard.
The identity of the victim and the exact circumstances of the collision were not made immediately available.
All lanes of the highway were closed for the investigation, and HPD reported heavy traffic in the area as a result.
The highway was reopened around 9:38 p.m.
