At least five vehicles damaged in major I-45 crash

HOUSTON, TX – Northbound lanes of I-45 North near Airtex were blocked Thursday afternoon due to a major collision that involved several commercial and passenger vehicles, KTRK reports. It is unclear if there were any fatalities or injuries.

Aerial footage showed that at least five vehicles were involved in the crash, including one that had been pinned against a barrier wall by a semi truck.
TxDOT reports that traffic was able to resume only after workers in hazmat suits cleared the wreckage.
