All main lanes on IH-69 shut down after hazmat spill

HOUSTON, TX – All main lanes on IH-69 were shut down following a hazmat spill on the evening Thursday, May 14, according to Houston TranStar.
The spill occurred in Fort Bend County at FM-2919. The spill is reportedly the result of a heavy truck accident involving two vehicles. The Houston TranStar website reports that significant road debris was reported following the accident.
All main lanes on the freeway have been shut down and have yet to be cleared — travelers should seek alternate routes.
