UPDATE: I-10 crash cleared, traffic resumes

HOUSTON, TX – In an update to our earlier story, the Houston district of TxDOT reported this afternoon that the crash on I-10 at Beltway 8 had been cleared and that traffic had resumed.

A major crash had shut down multiple lanes of traffic earlier in the afternoon, and the Department had advised commuters to avoid the area if at all possible. It remains unclear if anyone was seriously injured in the accident, but we will endeavor to update this page should information become available.
