Driver dead after crashing into barricade and ditch in Katy

KATY, TX – One person is dead after she crashed through a barricade and into a ditch in Katy yesterday afternoon, according to KHOU.

The crash happened in the 2600 block of N Westgreen Boulevard, near Raintree Village Drive and Morton Ranch Elementary School at about 3:30 p.m.

A female driver appears to have driven through a barricade and then into a ditch.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
