Driver killed in collision on Almeda Rd in Central Southwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed during an accident on Almeda Road this morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
Vehicular Crimes investigators are en route to 11900 Almeda Road for a fatal crash. Incident occurred about 9:10 a.m.

The crash occurred in the 11900 block of Almeda Road in the Myrtle neighborhood, near Airport Boulevard, at about 9:10 a.m.
While the cause of the accident was not immediately revealed, HPD stated that one driver died at the scene of the crash. Their identity was not released.
Travelers were asked to avoid the area, as traffic delays were likely.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
