A major car accident on Farm to Market Road 777 leaves at least eight people injured late Sunday afternoon.
Just after 4:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to the intersection of Highway 190 West at Farm to Market Road 777 in the Beech Grove Community following a crash report. According to the initial investigation, a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling on the northbound lanes of FM 777 when it struck a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica van as it approaches the intersection. The van went out of control and veered off the roadway while the pickup truck was sent to the westbound lanes where it struck by a 2014 Dodge Durango SUV.
A total of eight people were injured following the collision. The Dodge Ram driver, identified as 67-year-old Rex Bryan, was rushed by Southeast Texas Air Rescue to Christus St Elizabeth Hospital. Seven other people sustained injuries but were considered non-life-threatening.
Investigators were called into the scene to determine liability.
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of the injured victims. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the Jasper County Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
Injuries caused by vehicle collisions can vary from crash to crash. Some injuries may heal within a span of days while others could paralyze a victim’s body for a month. The most commonly known car accident injuries include neck and chest and head and back injuries. Broken and ligament damages are also quite common.
Sometimes, a car accident can cause serious injuries to multiple parties—and filing a claim can get complicated. To make sure your claim is successful, you need to gather supporting evidence and documents that can back up your claim. It could be a detailed account of the accident you are involved in or documents indicating the extent of injuries you sustained. These may include a video or photograph of the scene, police reports, and medical records, to name a few.
