Houston PD officer hurt in motorcycle accident on Eastex Fwy

HOUSTON, TX – A collision this afternoon near the Eastex Freeway caused a police officer to be taken to the hospital, according to KTRK.
The crash happened near Lyons Ave in the northbound lanes of the freeway feeder road at about 1:15 p.m.
The victim, a Houston PD officer operating a motorcycle, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed wounds.
No other injuries have been immediately reported.
Authorities did not reveal the identity of the officer or the cause of the collision.
