2 dead after late-night crash on FM 1942 in Crosby being investigated as DWI

CROSBY, TX – Two people are dead following a crash late Saturday on FM 1942 Road in Crosby that is being investigated as a possible DWI, according to KHOU.
The crash occurred at around 11:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of FM 1942 Road, near Camino Del Rancho Road and Krampota Drive.
As a driver was backing out of a private driveway, her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by the driver of a white pickup truck. Her car went into the ditch after being hit.
The driver and her passenger, who was ejected during the crash, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital. He is currently under investigation for driving while intoxicated, but no charges have yet been filed.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
