1 person dead after early-morning crash with parked vehicle in N Houston

HOUSTON, TX – One person lost their life after an early-morning crash involving a parked vehicle in north Houston, according to KTRK.
The collision occurred at about 2:30 a.m. this morning on East Witcher Lane, when the driver of a black Honda Civic swerved out of their lane and into a vehicle parked nearby. The parked vehicle was sent into a ditch in the impact.
The driver, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead after the crash. They may not have been wearing their seatbelt when the accident happened.
Authorities believe that speeding may have been a factor in the crash.
