Worker fatally hit by 18-wheeler on US-90 EB near south Crosby

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person died Thursday after being hit by an 18-wheeler while working as a litter contractor on U.S. 90 near south Crosby, reports Click2Houston.

The fatal incident occurred on the eastbound highway at Farm to Market Road 2100 at approximately noon.

Details are limited at this time, but deputies confirmed the victim died from their injuries at the scene.

The driver of the big rig stayed after the crash and cooperated with authorities.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area as all northbound lanes near FM 2100 were closed during the response.

An investigation into the event was underway.
