HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed in a possible drunk driving wreck on US 290 on the morning of Wednesday, June 24, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The potential suspect was driving a Jeep Cherokee when he crashed into a box truck and a Nissan located near Antoine Drive. The force of the crash was so great that it crushed the Nissan, trapping two women inside. One of the women, the driver, died of her injuries at a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Jeep was also rushed to the hospital for treatment, but he fled the scene before being questioned by authorities. Police say they found a wine bottle in his car — he now faces potential drunk driving charges.
