Woman killed in hit-and-run crash on Ella Blvd

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed in what authorities suspect was a hit-and-run crash on Ella Boulevard this evening, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
@HCSO_VCD is investigating a fatal crash at 16711 Ella Blvd. Responding units located an adult female in the roadway, indicating a possibly auto-pedestrian crash. The female has been pronounced deceased at the scene. The striking vehicle fled the scene. #HouNews pic.twitter.com/xEjggeVEJD

The incident happened in the Cypress Station area at 16711 Ella Blvd, south of Cypress Creek Parkway/FM 1960 at around 9 p.m.
Authorities stated that an adult female, who may have been a pedestrian, was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
