HOUSTON, TEXAS – A woman was tragically killed in a fatal wreck on Westfield Place Drive on Thursday, June 11, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Authorities say Deborah Marie Lamar was traveling near the 17500 block of the road when she suddenly veered off the side of the road and slammed into a tree. Lamar was killed upon impact while three children in the vehicle were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
