Woman killed after running a red light on West Fuqua Street

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed after running a red light on West Fuqua Street on Monday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

A 35-year-old woman was driving a blue Mazda 6 near 6600 West Fuqua Street when she ran a red light and hit a red Kia Forte around 10:20 p.m. The Mazda then hit a nearby tree.

The woman was rushed to the hospital and eventually pronounced dead. The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries.
