Woman killed after hitting light pole near the Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed after hitting a light pole near the Eastex Freeway on the morning of Wednesday, June 23, according to the Houston Police Department.
The woman was driving a silver Nissan Sentra near 7800 Eastex Freeway when she lost control of her car and crashed into a nearby light pole. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead. The accident was reported around 8:40 a.m.
She was just 33-years-old.
