Woman injured by mounted police officer during protest downtown

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was injured yesterday by a mounted police officer during a protest in downtown Houston over the death of Houston native George Floyd.
KPRC2 shared a report and linked to a video of the accident that had been posted to Twitter.
A woman in the demonstration was trampled by the police horse when the officer rode towards a group of protesters.
According to the article, the victim plans to pursue legal options against the police department.
A tweet by the Houston Police Department said that the situation is under review at this time.
Multiple demonstrations have broken out across the country, protesting against police brutality.
