Woman dies in hit-and-run collision while taking out trash in west Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died in a hit-and-run collision while she was taking out her trash in west Houston on Monday night, according to the team at the Houston Chronicle.
The woman was reportedly taking out the trash at the Westchase Apartment at 3030 Elmside Drive. A witness who saw the woman in the parking lot called police. The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage and encourage anyone with information about the incident to contact the police.
