Woman dies in alleged DWI crash in Spring Branch

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died this morning after a suspected drunk driver collided with her vehicle in the Spring Branch area, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The accident happened sometime before 7:45 a.m. near the intersection of Gessner Road and the Interstate 10 frontage road when a man driving a gray Nissan Sentra failed to stop at a traffic light. He collided with the victim’s gray Mazda 3, pushing her vehicle into a white Toyota RAV-4 that was stopped at the intersection.
The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, died at the scene.
The 32-year-old driver of the Nissan has been taken into custody on charges of intoxicated manslaughter.
