Woman dies from injuries sustained in September hit-and-run accident

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died from injuries sustained in a September hit-and-run accident this weekend, KHOU 11 reports.

A 51-year-old woman was walking in a crosswalk near 8100 Howard Drive when she was struck by an oncoming Chevrolet Impala. The driver of the car, a 24-year-old man, parked his vehicle up the street after the incident. The crash occurred on September 16.

He was later found by authorities and charged with failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and died of her injuries on Saturday.
