HOUSTON, TX — A woman was fatally injured Tuesday afternoon following a high-speed two-car collision in Houston’s Hidden Valley area, reports the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The wreck occurred in the 300 block of West Gulf Bank Road at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Authorities said another woman was driving a Cadillac CTS at high speed going eastbound when her vehicle veered out from its lane and rotated counter-clockwise into the westbound lane. The right side of the Cadillac was subsequently struck by a westbound Lincoln.
Two occupants in the Lincoln, the male driver and a female passenger, were rushed to local hospitals with critical, life-threatening injuries. Upon arrival to the hospital, the female victim succumbed to her injuries.
The female driver of the Cadillac sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Authorities said the case is being handled by the HCSO’s Vehicular Crimes Division.
