Woman dies after suffering critical injuries in crash on Broadway Street

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died after suffering critical injuries in a crash on Broadway Street on Monday, February 15, the Houston Police Department reports.
The victim, identified only as a 47-year-old woman, was traveling as a front-seat passenger in a silver Toyota SUV near 8400 Broadway Street. The car swerved on the ice on the road, slamming into a tree in the road’s median. The car then rolled over into the northbound lanes.
While the driver and backseat passenger were not hurt, the woman was thrown from the vehicle and sustained a serious head injury. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died on Tuesday, February 16.
No charges have been filed at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
