Woman dies after falling from moving SUV in Applebee’s parking lot

HOUSTON, TX – A woman died Sunday morning after falling off a moving SUV while celebrating Independence Day, according to KTRK.
The accident happened around 1 a.m., in the parking lot of a shopping center located at 5911 East Sam Houston Parkway North, outside of an Applebee’s restaurant.
The victim, 24-year-old Brandi McGee, was riding on top of a 2000 Toyota Highlander when the accident occurred. She and her friends had been going to another part of the shopping center to shoot and watch fireworks to celebrate the Independence Day holiday when McGee fell off the SUV.
She hit her head when she fell and was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The SUV was moving slowly, according to the report, when the accident happened.
The accident is still under investigation, and authorities have yet to bring charges against any person.
