Wise County – Several injured in a car accident on Farm Roads 51

At least three people were hospitalized when two vehicles collided on Farm Roads 51 near Farm Road 2123, Saturday.
According to reports, A Honda Accord was traveling along the eastbound lanes of FM 2123 when it ran a red light at FM 51. The Honda crashed into a Chevrolet Cavalier causing the Accord to spin several times. It came to a complete stop at the east side of FM 51.
The driver of the blue Honda Accord, identified only as 39-year-old Daniel Remley, was seriously injured. He was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital by air. His passenger, 41-year-old Shannon Ruffin was transported to Wise Health System for treatment.
The Chevrolet driver who was identified as 69-year-old Robert Molina was also taken to John Peter Smith by ambulance. The extent of his injuries remains unknown.
Cottondale and Boyd firefighters arrived at the scene to clear the area. The investigation is still underway.
