Winkler County – Head-on Crash on County Rd 101

Winkler County law enforcement officials are investigating a two-vehicle accident which caused the death of one person on County Road 101, Monday.
According to initial reports, responding officers were dispatched to CR 101 to assist in a collision involving two passenger trucks. How the crash actually happened is yet to be determined but it was confirmed that two people sustained injuries from the force of the impact. One victim, identified only as a male, succumbed to his injuries while the female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately disclosed.
No identification has been released at this time.
Local investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability. They have yet to release the possible charges against the party who was at fault.
