Wilmer – Wrong Way Crash on Interstate 45

Two drivers sustained significant injuries after getting involved in a car accident on Interstate 45, last April 5.
At around 4:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a collision on I-45. According to initial reports, a vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the highway when it collided with another car. Details surrounding the incident are limited at this time but it was confirmed that three vehicles were involved. Police said that two of them were described as two small sedans and a semi-truck.
One person died as a result of the collision. His identification has not been released.
Two more people sustained injuries from the crash. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed at this time.
An investigation is underway.
