Willis – Driver Killed in Vehicle Accident on Seven Coves Road

Posted on Thursday, October 24th, 2019 at 3:23 am

Last Friday, a fatal head-on collision resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two more people on Seven Coves Road.

Just after 3:00 p.m., a white Mercury Grand Marquis was seen traveling along the westbound lane of Seven Coves Rd when, for yet unknown reasons, it crossed the center line which caused the white Cadilac to drive the other way. As it reached the Crystal Creek bridge, it crashed into a passing Jeep SUV which, according to police, had nowhere to go. The impact of the crash caused the car to catch fire, trapping its female driver. She was later extricated by emergency crews and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, two female occupants in the Jeep were also rushed to a hospital with a stable condition. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed.

An investigation is underway.
