William County Sheriff’s Officials are still conducting an investigation regarding a car accident on Highway 195 that sent two people to a hospital in critical condition last Friday night.

According to a local news source, local emergency crews responded to Patterson Avenue near Highway 195 at an unspecified time on a Friday evening. How the crash took place or what led the collision is yet to be determined but it was confirmed that at least 10 vehicles were involved which blocked both the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.

The impact of the collision injured at least two people. They were rushed to a hospital and listed in critical condition. Their identification was not immediately made available.

Deputy officers temporarily shut down the highway for clearing and investigation but it was reopened after a couple of hours.

No fatalities were reported.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the deceased victim. We strongly believe that the police will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.

Texas is among the states in the US that have the most car accidents which involved injuries and fatalities every year. Some of the common factors contributing to the rising cases of collisions in the area include the worsening traffic situation, weather conditions, and poor driving habits.

Bad driving habits are the greatest cause of a fatal crash. It can be lethal to the person behind the wheel, as well as the drivers on the road. Drivers who do not use their signal to change lanes or those who do not secure their blind spots before shifting direction are more likely to be involved in an accident. Some of the most dangerous driving habits include speeding, unsafe lane change, tailgating, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you or someone you love has been a victim of a car accident with a negligent driver, you have a right to fair compensation for the trauma you experienced and the injuries you have suffered.
