Willacy County – Woman Killed Single-Car Crash on FM 1420

A solo-vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 1420 caused the death of a woman, Thursday, February 20th.
Initial reports show that the incident took place on FM 1420 near County Road 800. A vehicle was traveling along the roadway when, for yet unknown reasons, it left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver, identified only as a female, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, her three passengers, all children, were transported to a local hospital for further medical attention. The extent of their injuries was not confirmed.
Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle upon approaching a curve.
