Wichita Falls – Victim of Highway 114 Identified

The 35-year-old woman who was pronounced deceased following a fatal car accident on Highway 114 last Thursday has been identified.
The fatality was identified as Kristine Linda Florez, 35, of Vernon.
According to initial reports, a vehicle was traveling the westbound lane of Highway 114, approaching a cross street at Farm to Market Road 1790. When the driver of the said vehicle missed the turn, he made an unsafe U-turn and collided with an eastbound vehicle. The first vehicle struck the driver’s side of the first car, causing it to spin out of control. The second vehicle drifted into the opposite ditch before striking a utility pole.
The driver of the first vehicle, Kristine Florez, sustained fatal injuries from the force of the impact. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Ronald Hargrove, 25, of Seymour, suffered from non-life threatening injuries. He was rushed to Seymour Hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
An investigation is underway.
