Wheelchair user dies after being struck by vehicle on McCarty Road

HOUSTON, TX -A wheelchair used died after being struck by a vehicle on McCarty Road on Tuesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.
The victim reportedly was crossing the streek, not in a designated crosswalk, when he was hit by a passing gold Chevrolet Silverado. The 70-year-old man was declared dead at a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges have been filed.
