Wells Branch – Connally High School Student Struck and Killed on I-35

The 15-year-old pedestrian who died after getting struck by a vehicle on Interstate 35 has been identified, Saturday night.
Local authorities named the victim as 15-year-old Cesar Saunders. Pflugerville ISD confirmed he was a freshman at Connally High School.
According to initial reports, the fatal collision took place at 14000 block of North I-35. Police said that a red 2014 Honda Civic was seen heading north when it hit Saunders who was attempting to cross the highway. Saunders suffered from serious injuries brought about by the impact of the collision. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a few moments he was admitted.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda also sustained injuries. He admitted in an intensive care unit.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
