Weatherford – Woman, Unborn Child Died in Tragic Vehicle Collision on FM 51

A deadly car accident involving two vehicles caused the tragic death of a Weatherford woman and her unborn baby on Farm to Market Road 51 North, Sunday afternoon.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m near Bagget Road. A 2009 black Ford Mustang was heading north on FM 51 when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2017 black Nissan Sentra that was traveling along the southbound lane. The impact of the crash injured both occupants in the Nissan and Mustang.
The Mustang driver, identified as Joshua Laposky, 23, of Weatherford, was taken to Fort Worth hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan, identified as Luis Romero-Rivas, 25, of Weatherford, received treatment at the scene. Two Nissan passengers, identified as 2-year-old male and 22-year-old Weatherford female, were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, the female passenger died a few hours later. Her identification has not been released at this time.
