Weatherford – Three Injured in Auto Collision on East Bankhead Dr

Three were hospitalized after a car struck a home on East Bankhead Drive in Weatherford, Tuesday morning.

Just after 12:00 a.m., a vehicle was seen traveling along East Bankhead Drive when its driver lost control and drifted off the roadway. The car continued on and crashed into a home with two people inside. The homeowners, identified only as 66-year-old and 62-year-old female residents, were both taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Their injuries were considered non-life-threatening. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle sustained a broken leg from the force of the impact. She has since been identified as 49-year-old Catherine Jane Duffy. It was not confirmed if Duffy was taken to a hospital as well.

Weatherford police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. No charges have been made at this time.
